I have been to Hatyai for over 50 times but only 2 time daytime driveby in Songkhla. Could you shed more information on Songkhla, like how many brothel (ayam farm) you think there is in Songkhla, what street they are on, what is the range of price compare to Hatyai, how about the hotel price?

I sure like to have a change of venue cheonging. Sian Lo (boaring) at one place (hatyai, all the time).

Since it is next to the beach, how is the seafood price?

the place has serveral bars similar to Bangkok and Pattaya where you can pay a bar fine and take the girl out.

Hotels there are two big hotels Pavillion http://www.res24.net/kingdomthailand.com/nst/pavilion/ and BP Samila http://www.bphotelsgroup.com/bpsml/bpsmlset.html costs around 1000 Baht per night and lots of small hotels near by the Pavillion costing around 500 upwards Royal Crown Hotel being one which close to a few bars as well and just up the road from Sado road. The Pavillion had massage place in it when I last stayed there but I never tried it so I don't know what it is like.

Bars are mainly on three roads there is a strip of about 5 bars on Sado road.
then there is a strip on a side road accross the main road from the Pavillion hotel forget name of the road. Then there are several bars and resturants on Sri Suda Road which runs perpendicular to Sado road where the main bar strip is can't miss it.

The place is very much quiter than Hat Yai so if your into a more relax scene then this a cool place to be. Most of the off shore Oil/Gas business is based in Songhla so this provides the trade for the bars.

As for Seafood prices are cheap and there are a few places just down the road from BP Samila hotel where are cool.

Thank you for the info. Look like that is not my cup of tea. I am not into bar scene and having to pick out a sophicicated (sp) puyin in the dark atmosphere is difficult. On top of that I have to pay barfine. It is just like in Koh Samui and Koh Phuket. I would rather stick with Hatyai chicken farm where I can go from shop to shop to find the one I like in the daylight and have 24 hour companion.

Those bar girls are street-smart and even newbie learn fast to hussle. There might be a few good lookers but a good looker with a good attitude, I say the chance is slim.

Songkhla is absolute waste of time. Just a few bars on one road and the girls quality sucks.

Went to the massage at Pavilion Hotel and the oil massage was good but the girls are all aunties .She asked for extras but I rather save it for a better opportunity.

BP Samila Hotel is overrated and is really quiet these days. Not many tourists. And the main tourist attraction of this whole town , the Songkhla beach was the biggest dissapointment of all. Extremley dirty , filthy like nobody cleaned the beach in the last 10 years. How can tourists come and lie on the beach or swim when it's so dirty . Really can't understand the authorities thinking. The town where a few administrative building are located is sparkling clean and the main revenue earner for the Hotels and other beach side businesses is neglected like anything. Overall Sogkhla deserves a miss when compared to Hat Yai and Dannok.

Dannok is a real delight for those bored of Hatyai and looking for something new. Over the years the number of joints has grown sufficiently to make it a place to stop over and return without going to Hatyai at all. Karaokes, Discos , Strip Show Joints, Ayam Farms , Seafood Restaurants and some shopping and affordable comfortable hotels all aplenty here.

TMT is highly recommended for strip shows. Found that this is one of the better places where young pooyings with extremely good figure with strip bare and if you like accompany you while not performing all for a meagre tip of RM10. Night company can be negotiated at extra price usually 200RM unless the girl is returning to Hatyai later at night. If the girl is not interested they usually give the "returning to home in Hatyai" as the standard excuse. Up the price and they suddenly say that they don't mind staying one night away from home :rolleyes:

Shalala is a nice place for watching some shows but no stripping. The girls/waitresses here are quite pretty and they mostly play Chinese techno songs.

For all day/night bookings , there are numerous farm houses to choose from ...almost the whole town is full of whores. The thing I noticed is that the girls are fairer skinned and better looking than the Hatyai/Bangkok counterparts. A lot of them are very young too. Going rate is 1500 for all day/night unlimited shots . Some joints accept exchange of goods if not satisfied with the performance :D

There are no fast food joints or cyber cafes or ancient massage joints but pretty OK makan places and very affordable hotels ranging from 40RM a night onwards.

Lately there is an influx of PRC girls mostly from Southern China who mostly are working in Karaokes , hanging below in the hotel lobby. Strike up a conversation with them and book them . More expensive around 350RM a night. But I rarely saw one that matched the streetwalkers of Geylang Lor 8 standard. The thai girls especially fair Northern Thailand girls are much better and give super gf like service ....lots of wet wet sex all night long ..... Dannok....Pattaya of the south!!

I agree, been there only once and I must say a lot of SYTs, they look much better than the grils in Hadyai, however everytime I go with GTM Dekuip he always scared to go there coz of many reports of bros kena cheated by the girls, either they don't show up, leave early or steal your valuables. Hope that the situation has improved now.

Danok nowadays very happening. Even have a new disco Paragon in which their beer is cheaper than Hy. Only RM 10 per btl but disco is slightly smaller than HY. Its just at the back of Oliver Hotel. For hotels to stay if bros wants better ones should go to either He Jia hotel (Have bowling and spa ) Oscar palace and Oliver . These hotels range from 650-690bt. Some provide breakfast. For those cheaper ones u can try PJ Hotel, Firatell . Its about 500bt. They are clean in terms of rooms. As for security concern i always feel that HY is a bit safer but all these will depend on your ownself luck. Also a place to recomend for those who wants massage. 2nd floor Satit Hotel a lot of puying. I think they hv at least 50 puying.Happy cheonging and goodluck!!!!!

If ur guy dont want to get cheated by the girls, so just booking the girl form the office & note down the captain hp no, contact them if anything happend. 1 more, never trust the bapa ayam who dint have their own office or not belong any office. Well was in Danook on the 2nd Feb just after the CNY celebrations. Arrived at the Bukit Kayu Duty Free Complex’s at about 12noon. Went bought some beer and liquor with some friends who are also kakis of the “Land of The Thais”. Booked a cab to drive us across, as the traffic was terrible. It is a long time since I seen this kind of scenario at the border.
Was told that all hotels in Hatyai were fully booked till the end of the week and prices are doubled or tripled. :cool:
Anyway, no problem for us as we are staying in Danook. Quickly cleared customs and headed for my usual joint IPD Hotel. Surprised to see a new hotel opened nearby Phuipheng Hotel. Cost BHT 800 per nite. Price up because of CNY usual price BHT 600.
Checked in the hotel and my friends I headed out for lunch, as we were hungry. As we walked towards the main road to have lunch, survey some of the karokas but all were empty or with old chickens. Decided to have lunch and further scout the area. ;)
My friends all-getting very worried that no gals were available. Told them we will be able to find some. Found a karaoke, forgot the name had a few but not to our taste and the price a maddening BHT 2500 to BHT 3000. On normal days maybe not even BHT 1000. Walked around and found one by the name of MIDA just at the end of town. Had a few good selections. Quickly my friends pick out their choices. I picked one by the name of Ah Nook.
Prices started at BHT2500 but managed to discount to BHT 1500. The mummy was friendly woman and gave in to our price.
Back in the room. She is 23 yrs old and claims to be studying in Bangkok doing BBA. Not married and no child bearing. Slim and Tall, body average, breast medium size. She had a very sweet smile and pleasant look. Very friendly. In bed 1st round normal ratings.
That nite after dinner she asked us to go to her mummy’s karaoke – Minnal Karaoke. We agreed and the gang went there for a while. Took 2 bottles of whiskey there. Corkage BHT 230 with ice cubes and BHT 100 for Coke. Fair pricing. Spent about 3 hours there drinking and dancing. My friends were enjoying themselves with all the attention given to them.
Back in the room that nite – the nite was fantastic compared to the evening shot. Very, very girl friend feeling and she went all the way to please me. After the sex, got a good hot bath and a massage before I fell asleep. Got in the morning and had to leave early as I was going to Langkawi for a meeting. One more round before saying goodbye. Just came back from a trip to Danok,

24/2/06
Arrived at Penang Airport at 8:20pm, but had to wait for another hour before my Penang friend arrive to pick me up, as he was caught in the jam on the Penang bridge becos of road works.

We reached Bukit Kayu Hitam at 11:30pm, cleared the immigration, and park the car at the duty free carpark before walking over to Sadao immigration. Was taken aback that the thai border don’t provide arrival card, it’ve to be purchase and fill-in by their people for M$2/pax. Another surprise beholds, needa pay the custom officer M$1 for getting our passport chop before entering.

Anyway, after the customs and we’re now in Danok. First impression, really a no-holds-bar cowboy town. Although the time is already past midnight, many pretty puyings can be seen walking / lining the main road.

We first headed to Oscar Palace Hotel, about 100+ metres on the right side upon clearing immigration. Was told that the hotel was full for the night, so we reserve our rooms for tomorrow at M$65/night. We went to F4 Mansion to check in for the night at 400Baht/night, which wan along the street beside Oscar Palace.

Having checked-in, we put down our bags and had a quick shower before heading out. First we went to Orange minimart to change money which was beside the 7-11 opposite Oscar Palace. R$1 = 10.5 Baht, and S$1 = 23 Baht. Changed our money and went to grab a bite at one of the road hawker. Had chicken rice, beef ball soup, and coconut 2 servings each. Total bill only 170Baht, dirt cheap.

After our meal, we proceed to Bangkok Café which was just 2 streets from where we were. The a-go-go dancers were on and we were led to our table. As we went alone, those available ladies quickly flock to us. I rejected quite a couple and only let 3 nice looking ones sit at our table. Order a bottle of JW Black at 1200Baht (more ex than Kiss Channel in HDY).

The gals at our table really had a go at the whiskey, while we were also drinking + rabba-ing while watching the pole dancers, got one beh pai leh. I told one of the waitress to invite her come my table for a drink during her interval. So she came over and after some formalities, we were toasting and roaming. But she made know to me that I’m not allowed to book her cos she is dancer and not booking gal, as this place also have their in house booking gals. But could be arrange after her work and stuffs, etc. But I decline to go any further and tip her and the other 3 gals 100Baht each for staying and drinking with us. We finished our drink and went off.

It was almost 2am when we left Bangkok Café, the last customer to leave. We went to the street in front to check out the puyings available for booking and were surprised that there were still some pretty good looking puyings available for booking. We decided to take our gals from Pinky Karaoke at 1500Baht each for LT. Went back to our rooms and do what is to be done.

After our deed, agreed with my friend that we should swap partners for the night. I make known to the gals on this and promise them I’ll top up another 1000Baht each if they’re game for it. They took up the offer and I gave them 150Baht to go buy food. My friend went back his room to sleep, while I left the room to go out walk walk.

Just outside my hotel, a few units away saw a couple of puyings drinking bir outside their office. The karaoke joint name is Honey. I ask whether can I join them for bir, which they welcome me openly. Gave one of the gal 200Baht to get bir and she came back with 6 big bottles of local bir. We end up finished drinking 12 bottles and by then is already 4am+. So I excused myself and went back to my room.

Upon reach my floor, saw my gal and my friend’s gal waiting outside our rooms. Guess my friend must have slept like a log. So I told the 2 gals to go my room. My gal wanted to sleep, so I ask my friend’s gal whether she is still game for my previous offer, which we end up having great sex with my gal just lying beside us trying to sleep.

Done whats to be done, wash up and hit the sack with me sleeping between 2 gals.

Woke up the next day, tip my gal 200baht and the other gal 1000baht and they left. We then gather our stuffs and check out from hotel and proceeded to check in to Oscar Palace. Considering the standard/state of Danok, this can be consider to be a pretty good hotel.

Left our stuffs in our room and went to the stall on the left of Oscar Palace to have our breakfast, nasi padang thai style. Self service on the dishes, take how much pay how much. Total bill for 2 pax 120Baht including drinks.

After our meal, went across the road to change some more baht and bought some snacks and bir from the 7-11 beside. Then headed back to our room to put our barangs and headed out to the pasar malam on the right hand side the moment you cross the customs. Lots of things to buy over there ranging from local produce to no frill clothings, bags, and shoes.

Headed back to our room after that to wash up and went for the traditional massage on the 3rd floor of the hotel. The cos of the massage is 240baht.

After our massage, we went out to check the ayam farms on both sides of the main road, nothing much, guess pretty ones start work late and/or were already pre-booked by their regular.

We ended up at a karaoke (which don’t event have karaoke system) joint and made our pick. I pick a 22yo fair puying (6.8/10) at 2000baht, while my friend took another 18yo puying (6/10)for 1500baht.

We went back our rooms for some ice-breakers, having bir while TCSS-ing. Was switching channels on the TV purposely stopping at the 2 porn channels to for a while to see the reaction of the 2 puyings. My friend’s puying bei luan, she said she want it and pulls my friend back into their room.

By this time my gal had already unzip my pants, and my small head is already in her mouth. The sex was good but definitely not as wild as the pervious night.

We went out for dinner at 6pm at one of the shop along the main road. After dinner went to jalan jalan and do some shopping. Stay at Firatel for RM50. Nice room n clean bedsheet. Had extra pillows at no xtra cost. Next door is a ko joint with many PRC cari makan. A walkin distance though but worth it. Tell the moto guys Firatel n pay RM2.
Usually stay at YU house for RM65 with bathtub. Great quiet place with stone throw away to New York Disco.
As for Cowboy Town, guess u haven't seen Padang Besar. Or Golok. Those will fit that defination.:D

A New Perspective of Danuk

This is my first trip to Danuk and I will write what I have gone through both good and bad.

Pls note all time mentioned is in Malaysian Time.

Started our journey from Penang at 11am with a friend. Reached Bukit Kayu Hitam at 1pm after a leisure drive with 2 smoke stops. Took us another 10 mins to walk thru customs and checked in Oscar Palace Hotel. This is the one of the bigger hotels in Danuk and closest to Thai-M'sia border. Two room rates is available. Rm65 for standard and RM 75 for deluxe. Opted for deluxe. Rooms are large with good sized 2pax bathtub and mirrors on ceiling. Good and cheap accomodation. There is Oscar Cafe (a pub) on the ground floor, Exotic KTV (on 2nd floor) and Massage (on 3rd floor).

Take note when u arrive in the lobby, a tout will appear to intro girls. If u want convenience, u can engage his services but be prepared to pay an additional RM50 as his commision charge. U tell him what u want and he will arrange your choice for viewing in your room. Since he is from Penang (ka ki lang), so we gave him our preferred types. Took him about 30mins and came back with 20 girls broken into 2 viewing session. Generally ok and 2 of my friends booked while I opted to wait. Paid RM250 per girl and they joined us immediately. Both my friends immediately went into action and bear in mind its only 2pm.

Alone, decided to engage a masseuse for traditional massage. Walked down to the center and was impressed. Good and clean facility. At least 40 girls was waiting to be picked ranging from weak pretty type to heavy professional type. Asked for a good traditional massage. Was assigned No.51. If u stay in Oscar, they prefer to massage u in your room. 2 hr massage cost RM30. Overall a very good massage. Traditional thai massage and foot reflexology. My feet still hurts as I type now. Tipped the girl RM10.

After the massage went into snooze mode until my friends started banging on my door at 6pm to go for dinner. Upon the girls recommendation, went to PED Restaurant. Supposed to be the best Chinese-Thai styled place. Located just on the side of Oscar Palace. Had steamed white pomfret ala Thai style, Tomyam big prawns, Roasted Pig Knuckle and Fried Crabmeat with curry powder. All his signature dish and we wasnt dissapointed. Total bill for 5 pax is RM92 inclusive of drinks.

After dinner, immediately left the girls in their room and went girl hunting for me. Started with the area around left side of Oscar Palace. Lots of fake KTVs and also New York Discotheque is around this area. Further down is Dragon KTV pub which is a disco and one of the hottest. Saw a number of pretty puyings but still cant make up my mind. Going rate has dropped from RM200 to RM150 now. Apparently daytime rate changes once its nighttime. Prettier girls are starting to appear on the streets and outside of cafes and ktvs. For those bros not kincheong, do wait till its nighttime.:D

We were still walking along this area when I suddenly bumped into 2 cheong kakis from Penang. Cheonging world can be so small. Our hunting group just expanded to 5 with 3 hungry..very hungry for sex brothers..:p

Another good hotel recommendation for those that prefer comfortable rooms. My other friends is staying in KPK hotel. Its opposite of Oscar Hotel and about 150 meter further down. Latest hotel in Danuk and even has an infinity view pool on the 3rd floor. Cost RM80 per nite. Was there later in the nite and the rooms are much much comfortable than Oscar. For those that dont mind the walking about, its a good choice.

Part 2

Just across the street from Oscar Palace is the 7-11 store. Went in to grab some smokes. For those SALEM kakis, they dont stock those here. U might want to buy from Malaysia before comin here.

Just the next street on the left of 7-11 is Shalala cafe. Saw some pretty girls sitting outside though disco music was booming inside. Had some eye contact with a few of them and they immediately smiled and waved us over to their table. All 4 girls that sat on this particular table are good looking with trim body and SYT looks. Its safer to see a girl in a bit of light as compared to girls inside the pubs/disco.. u might regret if u wake up tomorrow..:p . Waitress came out and asked for our order. Another caution... If u say u want beer and she asks how many.. They are asking u how many BIG bottles u want? We first time so we end up with 9 large Heinekens. Each bottle cost RM12. Cheap but night is still young. Finished our first round of beer at 9pm. Current hot game is paper-scissor-rock. By the time we want to go, the girl already chio us for booking. We opted to wait and try our luck to find other better ones. The girls at our table would not look out of place in SC or KISS. They are really presentable. Oldest is 22 years old (or so they say). We did promise the girls we will be back in 2hrs. Generally all pubs and ktvs must close by 12pm while disco can go till 4am. Dun know why, never ask.

Continued our pilgrimage along the very same road. At the end of the junction is Bangkok Cafe (as mentioned by meat lover). Saw a number of girls already standing at the stairs flaunting and flashing brilliant smiles. Turned left into another road and walked on. I borrowed a light from a stall owner and I asked him whats good in this area. SPIDER is the place to be. First right turn from Bangkok cafe road. (dont worry about getting lost here, each road is hardly 50meters). Saw SPIDER bar on our right hand. From the outside..pretty plain..but since we are on re-con trip, immediately closed our minds and pray for the best.. BEST PART of our trip is about to happen....

SPIDER cafe is essentially a a-go-go bar where the girls pretty much strip down to their birthday suits. Best part is that they have almost 50 young girls rotating thru the nite. Imagine young and nubile bodies with pretty faces (50%) of them dancing to disco music. Dont know what time opens but ends 12am

As our eyes grow accustomed to the dim lights and flashing disco lights.. we thought we has entered sex paradise. A raised stage fronting the center of the place with standing styled table surrounding the stage. Place is not big but good enough for us. On the stage was 8 girls half naked dancing. A few of us actually tripped while being led to our table. Cant force our eyes away from the stage. Girls were young with perky boobs and from afar looks good. Place was packed and according to the waitress, its hard to get tables on THURS,FRI, and SAT.

We were given a table right in front center of the stage. View is best. Cost of beer here is RM13 per bottle. First order is generally higher cos they add preserved fruits platter (dont know if u can decline, no time to try). Immediately a throng of girls came to our table. There are 2 class of girls working here though u can never tell from looking at them. 1st type are the dancing type..these girls will sit a while then go onstage to strip. The 2nd type are the ones that wont strip and will sit all nite with you. The 2nd type are the best!!. They are at least a 8/10 in my scoring grade. Good looking and they know they can make $$$$ without resorting to stripping.

Once u get a table, girls will come to u offering their hands for you to shake. Beware..if u dont want her at your table, dont shake hand, instead shake head. First few we had was gotten in this manner. Lan Lan shake hand and down they sat with us. U are expected to buy them only 1 drink at RM6. Be prepared with lots of small notes (RM2 or BHT 20), every worker there expects to be tipped. Either u thick skin and dun give or just give to enjoy a WAU from them.

Each of us started with 1 and by the time we left, each of us had min 2 girls with 5 the max. Cant say no to pretty SYT. Again consumed a lot of beer playing scissor-rock-hand. I had 2 9/10 girls aged 18 and 19 from Haadyai. Once i lay my eyes on them, my mind is set, will book them once we end in SPIDER. Both fair, doe eye with sparking smile, tall and trim with good sized boobs. Both dont dance on stage. Boy.. was I dissapointed. Both my girls are from Haadyai working in KTV (too dissapointed to ask from which one), came to DANUK cos no biz in Haadyai and has to go back once SPider closes. Finished our beer at 11.30am. Rooms in KPK is slightly smaller than Oscar but looking much more comfortable. Kinda reminds me of JB hotel in Haadyai. Finished beer and go back to our hotel for our mission...

No FR will be provided since I think its quite standard fare.

Woke up at 10am, took a breakfast, checked out and drove back to Penang reaching at 1pm.

A quick question : Since the booking rate changes at night-time, what is the rate if I wait until Midnight ? Any half-price rate ( i.e. Midnight Sale ) ??? :D

I think the lowest overnite rate is RM150 though I cant be sure since it was my first time there. But for RM150 based on the quality of the girls.. I would say a resounding value for money.

I think u can take a private cab for RM10-RM20 from Danuk to Haadyai. Travelling time 45mins-1hr. Took those cab last year. Not sure if the rates the same. Maybe other brothers can confirm.

With our trip in jan we hired a van from hatyai to danok and back. It cost 1500B all in. That mean we left hatyai at 4pm and doesn't matter what time u wanna go back hatyai and the driver will wait for us.

At Hatyai Plaza area, there are vans to Danok. Costs is 50baht per person one way. Just tell the tuk-tuk driver and he will be able to bring you to this place.
At Danok, it is in front of 7-11 shop on the main road. There is a small table in front of the 7-11, pay money to the person there and he will direct you to a van nearby.

cheonging scene in Penang, Sg petani or Alor setar (include Kulim) are pretty much less robust in relative terms comparing to Ipoh, KL and seremban....simple reason, when danuk or hatyai is just 1-2 hrs away, why bother to cheong locally??

if you are at Danuk on sunday night, you should sit by the main roadside nearer to the immigration counters, around 11.30pm to 12mn......wah, last minute rush by those penang-kia or kedah-kia to go home before the gate closed.....there was once i nearly trapped in between the 2 border side.....

From Danok to Hatyai, as Pearl stated, the 7-11 is across Oscar hotel. can c the mini vanz park outside. Walk upwards from there to Thai imm, can c taxi that cost abt Rm35. Night charges r a bit expansive. +066072851633 (Dang) always call him up to pick me up from Hdy airport at night. Cheaper than Airport taxi cost abt Rm90. Bezide Hatyai Plaza, can go 'Pasar' to take vans back to Danok. Tell any tuk-tuk to Pasar n they will understand. But b warn, sometimes aft 9pm, no van 2 Danok. Had to wait a long time 1 time, till fed up book 1 van juz 4 me n my girl. :mad:

Juz a fair warning 2 all bros. This regarding abt PRCz at Danok. Had many case where customers had their money or jewellery stolen or cheated. This b'cos many PRCs there r all freelancer, so they do belong to any 'shop's. No 1 2 blame but urself so things go wrong. Heard 2 PRC 'relieved' 2 customer of their cash. 1 was caught, the other flew to Hdy. Recently had a raid at KTV near Toliver . 2 'Roti' vans of PRCs n some customer.
'Oso word on the street is many r HIV infected. As they want to make money, so some would go condomless with whoever customer that r willing to pay xtra.

4th March.
Took bus from Larkin to Alor Star. Cost Rm65. Leave at 10pm n reach A\S abt 8am. Got plenty of zzz. Waited for a bus that goes to Changloon\UUM across the bus express lane. Cost Rm3.20 to Changloon Stn. Takes abt 45mins. Took a taxi from there to BKH for RM12. Had my form fill up for Rm2\-, paspport chop n was in Danok. Proceed to JB House, pay up Rm35. Small room but with clean bedsheet,xtra pillows n 24hrs Jap porn, u don't c me complaining.
Shower then proceed to book my regular. That day, she had a attitude problem. Told her to "fly kite" n went to another motel. Not going let her spoil my day. Went to Sunny Mansion, same as JB House but with rooms much bigger n a nice outside view. But no porn.

Just 4 or 5 days ago, there was a shooting case in the New Paragon in Danok. 2 dead, and 2 injured and now in hospital. Don't know who the shooter (s) are as still investigating. But those dead and injured are all females.

Just to let fellow bros know and be careful whenever you are there as Danok is more "bo cheng hu" than other places in Thailand. Hey, it would really be disastrous to be shot as a bystander for other people's quarrel.

Heard that it was PRZ that got killed n M'sian got injured. Paragon was closed 4 a few days n recently reopen. Meanwhile Dragoon n other club r doing good bizness. Satit is oso close 4 renovation. Plp paiseh going near Paragon after this incident. Hope Danok do not turn out like Padang B.

A night at Danuk

Just came back from my first official trip to Danuk and it was surely an eye-opener! Traveled there during this labour day weekend so there were lots and lots of people but luckily there were also lots and lots of girls so it was evenly matched. Compared to my visits to Hadyai, Danuk looks more like a cowboy town with everything just a stone’s throw away. We left KL around 4am and reached there approx 10am and checked into Phu Phing hotel, which is a newly opened hotel behind Oscar. The normal rate was 690THB but due to the holiday weekend we had to pay 800THB. When we reached there our rooms were still not ready due to the heavy occupancy, so we went to scout for a few massage places where we can bring the masseurs back to our hotels (with an option for more action).

The first massage place we went was just opposite Phi Phing hotel but there were only 5-6 ladies available (we had 7 guys) so we went to Oscar for a wider selection. At Oscar there was supposed to be more than 100 masseurs but only around 10 left. A few of them were quite young and pretty but since time was on our side I let the other guys choose first and left with a slightly older lady. So confirm no action but for me the 2 hour massage was quite relaxing. We paid 300THB for the massage girls to go to our hotels and I tipped her 200THB at the end. She did ask me for batin but I did not want, later found out from my friend that batin was 500THB including tips so it was quite ok if anyone wants to try. Some of the masseurs also offered ST (short time) FJ for 1000THB and LT (overnight) for 2000THB.

I was quite lucky during this trip for several reasons. Firstly we got a Thai-speaking friend who joined us there so communication was made easy. Secondly we did not spend unnecessarily and went to the places that were the best in terms of selection and fun. Finally, I got a girl that does not go for booking to spend the night with me! Danuk was explained very simply to us, on the right side where Oscar is, are the farms for booking girls and on the left, across the street, were the agogo bars, pubs and discos.

After the massage and lunch, we went to check out the farms first, which were located at the Oscar hotel area. Overall, there were many more syts compared to Hadyai and I was very tempted to book an syt for 2000thb (negotiated from 2500) but found out she does not speak anything except Thai. What a waste, because in terms of looks she’s an 8/10 in my books, which is very high for people who know my taste (compared to the prettiest girl in Hadyai which I only give 7.5). What makes her attract me is that she looks like a college girl Japanese AV actress, not the drop dead gorgeous type but damn sweet with a tinge of innocence in her looks without any need for makeup.

We spotted another syt nearby but the OKT wanted 3000THB and saying she only arrived yesterday, so we weren’t going to be taken as Roberts. We just told him it was too expensive and walked off with him later saying he’ll reduce the price but we weren’t in the mood already since the opening price was so high. One of our bros, whom we fondly call Puk Kai, saw a girl at a hair salon and she agreed to call if she wants to be booked later in the evening. That was our short trip to the farms since it was still early (around 1pm Thai time). Knowing that there will be more girls later in the day, our next destination was to check out the agogo bars across the road, namely TMT, Spider and Sha-la-la.

Part 2 – A night at Danuk

The Agogo bars

TMT – This was the first place we visited to build up our adrenaline by checking the papayas and cabbage farms with some hands-on inspection of the fruits. It was still quite empty when we arrived and first thing I noticed was this place has quite a few syts but in terms of entertainment it was only so-so… quite a simple layout with a front stage and tables behind. According to our friend the girls were quite daring before but they seem quite shy this time. A pair of girls came towards my way and start giggling everytime I glanced at them, don’t know why also… must ask them the next time. There were a variety of dance shows and they’ve already started stripping to their bare naked bodies when I was there. Most of the dancers were well developed with at least B-C cups enticing us. One thing to warn visitors, the girls are quite aggressive so if you don’t want them, just reject them straightaway otherwise they’d stay and assume that you want them to be with you. I was paired with a sweet looking Thai girl and she spent most of the time hugging me as we danced. Later another girl came along and I allowed her to stay too so I had 2 girls dancing with me. I suspected her friend was a kateoy but didn’t know until my girl asked me.. ‘U like kateoy?’ I immediately said no!! and then my hands retracted to my girl instead. It seems most of the girls at Spider do not normally come out for booking unless they really like the customer. After dinner the girls went back to Spider to work and we went to our 3rd Agogo bar.

Sha-la-la – After Spider Sha-la-la looked so normal although the girls were younger looking. Most of them were the slim type compared to the well developed girls at Spider so to me it was slightly potong-stim. Most of the time there I was still thinking of my girl from Spider. Since we were there, might as well enjoy ourselves! I ended up with 2 girls dancing with me and bought them ladies drink (50thb each). Part 3 (end) - A night at Danuk

Paragon Disco – Paragon Danuk is located around 5-10 minutes walk from the Agogo bars side. may i know what is the std price for hanging flowers at TMT, Bangkok Cafe, Spider etc?? I was told that min 500 baht, but heard that 100-200 baht also can liou.

last time when i went there 3000 baht gone within few hrs, the gals in those joints indeed very syt but the hanging flower parts really put me off.

the flowers are optional, ranges from 200-300THB. Even ladies drink is optional, you can ask them to drink your liquor or beer. It's better to just tip them 100-200thb at the end of your visit instead of buying flowers and endless ladies drink. Even if you buy flowers and ladies drink, one will do. Just tell them you'll tip them later and they'll understand.

Most dancer from Spiders dont usually out for booking, but those who accompany customer for drinking usually do. These dancers usually rotated several joints, between Betong, Hadyai and BKK, you may see them at WaterBar sometimes. Another joint, Bangkok Cafe that operate similiar dancer rotation but not as happening and daring. Oscar Cafe has many shows and lots of SYT GRO too.

The most happening is Chaborn, just beside Spider where their ladies are in bikini only with dozen of topless dancer at stage, if there is no big wind blowing. But they are very pushy for ladies drinks, you really felt you are being ambush with boobs there.

Those who prefer KTV can try couple of them with ladies from Yunnans. Also with ladies drink only. The bigger one is Tin Sheong Yan Kan with about 50~60 ladies during the peak.

The most happening is Chaborn, just beside Spider where their ladies are in bikini only with dozen of topless dancer at stage, if there is no big wind blowing. But they are very pushy for ladies drinks, you really felt you are being ambush with boobs there.

the flowers are optional, ranges from 200-300THB. Even ladies drink is optional, you can ask them to drink your liquor or beer. There is one SPA just on the small lane behind Oscar Hotel. It really has a very high class setting.

I tried it the other day. There are wide range of gals for selection (about 20) and certaintly many SYT among them. It started with 1.5 hrs oil massage in a very cosy private room. Heard that they also offer HJ,BBBJ & FJ (OKT next door ask me not to pay more than 500bahts). After that u are lead to the sauna room for as long as u could 'tahan'. Massage & sauna only cost 350bahts only, well worth it.

Well, it was my first trip to Danuk [actually it is supposed to be DANNOK as written in Thai] that I was able to stay for some fun as during my previous trips, I was just "passing by".

I was supposed to be staying over in Sungai Petani after my assignments, but SP was just only 107 Km from the border, why should I stay in SP, I wondered!

So, I drove up alone [as Bro Pearl was too busy with work and Bro KTL's trip to Penang mistimed with mine]. For this trip, I did not want to venture to Hatyai as I had wanted to try out Dannuk. Sorry Bro TV, did not manage to call you up.

I checked into Oscar Palace Hotel [standard room RM 65 per night..."standard" means "you stand up to take a bath" thats all] at around 1730 hrs. I met an old man [age 60, so older than me] with a young tirak in the lift. He spoke Hokkien to me....which was much like a foreign language to me, so I asked him if we could speak Mandarin [at least the Chinese are united by one single lingo] His tirak could also manage a smattering of Mandarin. He had graciously explained to me what to do and what not to do in Dannuk [looks like he is another Thai Visitor residing in Dannuk]

We went out for dinner and he "belanja" me, saying that "one must honour cikgus"..paiseh leh! We walked towards the Oscar Hotel as he wanted to show me the Bar Berry Cabaret! Along the same road, there were many karaoke joints [you know lah, KTV are for what purpose], one of the OKT's was frantically waving to me and even tried [shouted out] to attract my attention. You know what!!! That OKT recognised me as the one that had booked his puying [Noi] when I visited HDY many moons ago. This OKT [Eng] is actually a Singaporean and he has not only recognised my face he also talked about me as a professor who had to leave HDY abruptly due to the demise of my brother-in-law! walaueh, I did not know I could be so easily "marked", like that I can not become prime minister liao ! Eng had moved to Dannok recently to take over a KTV joint and what a co-incidence, that I had ventured into Dannok territory. I booked one Thai puying [SYT around 21 years old] and off, together with that Penangkia and tirak to Bar Berry! The music was so loud that I could not "tahan" [around 120 decibels], thus I left early with my puying for some fun!

Well, it was a mistake to have taken a too young puying...as she is more interested in the TV shows than me :( No where near to that Noi of Hatyai who according to Eng OKT, she had got married to a Malaysian, maybe a samster]

Just back from Danok last week. Stopped by Oscar Hotel. Sit at the waiting lounge and observed the massge ladies checked into work. Never know that Oscar is so advance. All the massage ladies checked in thru a thumb reader instead of usual punch card system. They pressed their thumb on the reader, their profile with pic appear on the computer screen........check in. Danuk is indeed a hot happening place at the moment.

I stopped by Danuk last mth. Just thought of having a nice massage at Oscar Hotel, nothing more nothing less. Chose 1 gal with big boob and nice smile. New phone numbering system for Thai handphones takes effect from 1 Sept 2006

Callers to mobile phones now should start dialling "08", followed by the existing eight-digit number, as the new national numbering plan takes effect today.
Fixed-line telephone numbers remain the same.

For example, mobile phone numbers that start with "01" should be switched to an "081" prefix. The number (01) 234 5678 becomes (081) 234 5678.

Callers from abroad will have to add "8" after Thailand's "66" country code. For example, +668-1234 5678 would replace +66-1234 5678.

However, callers have until November 30 to get used to the new cellular dialling scheme. From December 1, only the 10-digit mobile-phone numbers will be valid.

All mobile-phone operators are now offering a free service at shops nationwide to convert numbers stored in handsets to the 10-digit format, regardless of the customer's service operator.

They will also send teams to busy shopping areas, such at Victory Monument and Silom as well as the offices of their customers to offer the conversion service.

Users also have to reconfigure the code of the short message function in their devices, which they can do by themselves or at operators' shops, to enable them to send and receive short messages. But they have a grace period until March 30.

Sigve Brekke, CEO of Total Access Communication (DTAC), said he would join more than 300 of his employees in spending the day in the Silom, Sathorn and Victory Monument areas to help people update their numbers.

The numbering plan aims to increase the total of phone numbers to 300 million from the present 90 million, which is expected to be enough to serve surging demand for 30 years.

Cellular-service providers have spent a combined Bt400 million upgrading their systems to comply with the new numbering plan.

i would like to share my 2 cents worth on how to get to dannok via hadyai. u can always take a motordop if you are on budget from "Bo Kor Sou" the bus-stop at hdy to dannok, it costs only 50baht one way. take about half hr. info correct as of aug 06.

Due to the bomb blasts in the heart of Hatyai City, I would advise members against making any travel plans to Danok too in the near future. Tension is high, and the whole Hatyai city is under high security alert. This threat may spread to Danok town itself. This is a serious matter, and it will be very irresponsible to downplay it and claim that things are back to normality the very next morning. The news from the international presses are not "heresay" or inaccurate as claimed by those whose businesses will clearly be badly affect by this terrible event. :mad:

There are always other places you can go to enjoy yourself.

Thailand increases surveillance at suspected troublespots

DANOK , a town near Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah, is a potential target for Thai separatists in view of the increase in bombings in southern Thailand.

Utusan Malaysia reported a source as saying that security in the border town, popular among Malaysians and other foreigners, had been stepped up in the wake of the recent Saturday night bombings in Haadyai, which killed four people and wounded 70.

Based on intelligence reports, Thai authorities had obtained information that the town was likely to be the separatists' next target, said the daily.

The source said Thai authorities have since stepped up surveillance from Sadao to Kampung Thai Changloon in Danok and Padang Besar on Monday.

Thai immigration procedures have also been tightened to monitor people entering and leaving the country, the source added

According to the daily, Danok is a popular shopping and entertainment destination for Malaysians. Aside from being one of the main entry points into Thailand, it is also one of the main business centres along the border.

Berita Harian reported that Malaysian police have tightened security checks along the border to stop Thais from fleeing to the country from southern Thailand.

It said the authorities were worried that the spate of violence there would force Thais to seek refuge in Malaysia.

The daily quoted Kelantan police chief Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah as saying that security at the border was under control and police have yet to receive any reports of Thais trying to leave their country.

He urged those with information of such attempts to alert the police.

I believe that this might not be the case. What the separatists are doing are crippling the economy, which will be easier for them to garner independence under Muslim rule for Yale, Naratiwa??, Pattani.

But on the other hand, they (the separatists) certainly do not wanna offend Malaysia, as they certainly don't wanna make enemy with a Muslim country which are just a few minutes walk away.

By targeting Bukit Kayu Hitam/Sadao/Danok, there'll definitely be quite a number of Malaysian casulties which will definitely incurr the warth of Malaysia.

Even though they (the separatists) are not asking for Malaysia to support their cause, they definitely do not wish Malaysia to be against their cause. At least remain neutral.

Kuala Lumpur - Malaysian soldiers have been placed on alert for possible security breaches at the country's northern border area following a bloodless military coup launched in Thailand last week, a senior army chief said Saturday.

Soldiers posted at the border have been ordered to watch out for a possible influx of Thai refugees, as well as increased smuggling activities, said Brigadier-General Shahrudin Abu Bakar.

"The decision to step up vigilance at the border check-points is a precautionary measure against any eventualities," Shahrudin was quoted as saying by the official Bernama news agency.

He said that since the launch of the coup on Tuesday, the security situation at the border area was still under control.

Get passports stamped, Malaysian commuters told

KOTA BARU : Malaysians crossing the border to southern Thailand should follow immigration rules and get their passports or border passes stamped rather than just wave them at checkpoints.

Waving documents or even just nodding heads at immigration officers is commonly done by the inhabitants of both sides of the Malaysian-Thai border in Kelantan as they cross the border daily for work and trade.

The army’s Eighth Brigade commander Brig-Jen Shaharuddin Abu Bakar said this practice should be stopped.

“If they are caught in southern Thailand without proper travel documents, they will have to face the consequences.

“They must go through the proper process in view of the unrest in the region and the coup in Bangkok,” he said.

Brig-Jen Shaharuddin said the brigade continued to be on high alert in view of the political uncertainty in Thailand and continued unrest in the southern part of the country that bordered Malaysia.

For HDY, you can get your gals early from ayam farms and the place is generally cleaner and more orderly than in Danok. For Danok, you get the gals quite late and the place in general is more run down.

But on the other hand, a-go-go bars are aplenty in Danok. Good for fans of a-go-go bars.

In the day, Danok is a very boring place. The town only comes to live after dark

For Singaporeans, I'll say its easier to bump into relatives in HDY as compared to in Danok.

It ultimately depends on each individual's cheonging style and cheonging limitation factors in deciding which place is more convinient to cheong.

I personally prefers Danok though, but for trips above 3 nights I'll choose HDY cos more than 2 nights in Danok will be boring for me.

Thanks for your comments. Personally I think the working girls in Danok is generally better looking and younger than in Hatyai. However this is just my personal opinion as afterall, beauty is only in the eye of the beholder. Yes Danok is even smaller than Hatyai, and therefore I share the same sentiment that no more than 2 nights is sufficient to cheong Danok. However some brothers here may feel otherwise. :D

Just got some insider news one of the suspect related to the bombings was not even Thai or muslim, some chinese dude who spoke a bit of Thai with 2-3 Thai accomplice. The police is now looking for the suspect. Before the explosion happen he was at Pink Lady and told one of the girls not go to out that night as 'something is going to happen'. He did not finish the session and rushed of just before the explosion.

If this is the case then the bombings has a deeper meaning to it and the areas of bombing is not confined to any certain area, not just muslim seperatists who want to make a statement.

My trip to Danuk was an unexpected one. My friends originally planned to go to Hadyai for a short weekend as they had dates with some massage girls on their day off and asked me whether I wanted to come along. Since it was a weekend already I said why not?

On the way to Hadyai I received a phone call from another chick from Hadyai and said she and 2 other girls are in Danuk and asked whether I would like to join them to party. So we decided make a detour to Danuk for a short stopover since my friends have not seen them before. If they’re up to their taste then they might want to book them in Hadyai the next day. We arrived at He Jia hotel where they stayed. Since it was my first visit to the hotel, I was quite impressed with the size. I was told it costs only 690THB. On the 3rd floor there is a Disco bowling open till 4am and at the ground floor there’s a KTV with almost 50 girls! Most of them looked barely into their 20s and some good lookers too (7/10). We walked into the KTV to have a look and that got my adrenaline pumping..hmm… looks like Danuk is quite interesting ;)

Unfortunately we had to leave due to our dinner date at Hadyai so I left with a heavy heart. On the way there, due to some unforeseen circumstance one of the girls for our dinner date could not make it due to flu so after some discussion my friends and I made a u-turn back to Danuk!

We had our replacement dinner at Oliver Hotel restaurant without the dates but the night is still young and the girls are aplenty! We ate seafood tomyam, mango kerabu, roast duck and vegetables and the bill came up to 800THB for 3 people. Quite delicious and recommended for anyone who wants a decent restaurant with aircond. While eating we were also entertained with the view of syt puyings walking to and fro outside the restaurant since it is conveniently located in the same vicinity as Paragon, Bar Berry, some KTV and farms. We arrived at He Jia hotel where they stayed. Since it was my first visit to the hotel, I was quite impressed with the size. I was told it costs only 690THB. On the 3rd floor there is a Disco bowling open till 4am and at the ground floor there’s a KTV with almost 50 girls! Most of them looked barely into their 20s and some good lookers too (7/10). We walked into the KTV to have a look and that got my adrenaline pumping..hmm… looks like Danuk is quite interesting ;)

He Jia intially planned to have underground casino too but somehow it did not managed to push thru. The rooms are quite well decorated, the only drawback is it comes without bathtub. The KTV (Tin Sheong Yan Kan) beside should be one of the biggest in Danuk, there are 2~3 others too that mostly comes with Yunan SYT. During the peak season, there could be easily 200~300 Yunan SYT spread around.

Quite a number of dancers in Bar Berry are from Paragon and Sotus which they will travel to and fro daily. Some others like Spider, Oscar (Planet Star) and Bangkok Cafe operate via 15 days rotation basis sharing with Nice Resort / GrandView / Spider in Betong.

Just that Danuk is mostly occupied by neighbourhood cheongsters where foreign cheongsters find a little more difficult to compete for attention. With the opening of more discos, there are a little more fun after border closed as compared to previously where the town is almost dead by then. Beware of head shaker and 1001 other drugs abused puying though.

Meanwhile, the Southern East Coast Meteorological Office said the haze would cover the lower South for several days at least due to the influence of the southwestern monsoon and the lack of rainfall on Indonesia's Sumatra Island.

Actually 2300THB already considered as expensive in Danuk... starting price from 1000 onwards and 1500 is the norm especially during slow season after the Hadyai bombings. So I'm neither tall, dark and handsome nor do I do raw like what Kateoylover likes... for me safety first. I got my reasons for choosing the 2300thb girl coz she's the type that I like. I tot of featuring some hotels around Danok so that ppl can chose 1 that suit their budget\taste.

First 1 is High Class hotel. This so call VIP room cost abt RM72. Nice but few things I need to point out. 1st the bathroom is so-so like ones in a motel, does not fit with this room. 2nd the air cond is just outside the small balcony. The humming noise can be heard. TVs is abt 18in with no sex channel. Lastly, u can feel the bed springs which can brusie ur knees if prolong sessions. Receptionist were cute n nice but a bit inexperience. No extra charge for xtra pillows.

This is Yu House motel. A bit old but at RM65, it comes with a bathtub. This located near PJ hotel n a stone throw away from New York hotel. I like this place as it is quiet n got most of the TV channel. Previously got xxx channel but now.....
Now the bed is good with no feeling of springs underneath but quite small for my taste. The decor sucks but I'm only shacking for 1\2 nights. U hv individual aircond unlike some that hv central conditioning which I abhor. U can call for massage which is located next door (PJ Hotel). Was there last weekend for Loy Kratong. There were quite a lot of visitors to HAdyai and Danuk for this event, mostly local Thais. One of my friends took a ST girl nearby Satit hotel for 1200THB and while waiting for them I went up to the traditional massage centre at Satit Hotel. Good idea to prebook if you are arriving late on peak period, Friday and Saturdays. Other days, no need to pre book.

Can call Olivier Hotel @ +6674301800, or Oscar Hotel @ +6674434258. And if both are full, they are very willingly to provide number to another hotel. Oliver is next to all the actions place BB, etc...

Oscar is the nearest to the 'gate', if you are arriving late, try call the hotel and extension x 308 (the massage joint) get a girl for 1-2 hour massage, then you can book the girl, if you like (RM200). This is a good chemistry check. Oscar got good selection.....

i normally park inside the dutyfree complex. Got "jaga" one... seems safe dude...

Decided to go to Danok as 3 friends who have never been there wanted to go for a holiday & check out Danok! Arrived Danok @ 6pm and went straight to Rose II to check out the girls 2 of my friends took 2 mid/late 20s girls who looked friendly as they were constantly smiling. My 5 days/4 nights Thailand border expedition.. (Part 1 of 2)

This is my first Thailand border trip,Songkhla province,Danok,Hatyai and last minute Betong, 5 days/4 nights mission with my 3 friends(planned), 2 reported in 'Private F' & 'Private G', 1 missing in action 'Private P'.

DAY 1, January 2008 - 10.30 a.m.

Met up with my friend 'F' to begin our journey while 'G' had to work today and will catch up by bus the next morning.
Drive 6.5 hours from Klang Valley to Bukit Kayu Hitam, not much car on the road so it's a pleasant journey.
A few R&R (Rest & Recreation) stops are much needed for our I&I (Intoxication & Intercourse) destination.

A highway sign read Thailand lifted our spirits, at last the end of the road! Holy sh*t! Just drive pass the free duty
complex carpark entrance by a few metres, some cars behind me had to pass me slowly at my side and I caused a traffic jam,
luckily a good taxi driver nearby helped to stop the cars behind while I reverse and in to the carpark.

Parked and locked my car at the carpark and walk thru both immigration complex and yes Danok!
Before this trip, I have view BKH & Danok, free duty complex, immigration, oscar & Oliver hotel and so on thru wikimapia

(thanks to you guys!). I have found that Oscar and Oliver hotel are nearer from the immigration than I imagined.

7.00 p.m Check in at Oliver, bath and have dinner and walk around Danok, it's small and compact! Then, off to Bar Berry
as you guys recommended. 2 girls are dancing gogo style as we walk in and ordered 2 large beers to watch the shows.
After that at the stage 4 guys (Taiwanese pop singer style) came out and sing, Aiyo! I duwan see guys sing la! After a
few songs, at last Thai girls! 4 girls came out, 2 quite pretty, quite nice show, actually pretty faces compensate for
their bad singing.

After some round of stage shows, around 8 girls pop out and dance on the round and side stages. One is dancing at the side

to Pink hotel sky lounge,and.. bankrupt? Then by chance, went to a karaoke,got some good lookers,
ask mamasan, no LT here, so we quickly split and another lonely night for us.
We wov to get back to Danok the very next morning.

But the night still early, so we went to Bar Berry Hatyai.

however one thing it lacks imho is shopping centre. the "biggest" shopping centre in danok is odean shopping centre which is like 1/4-1/5 the size of what is in hty. anyway for ppl like me who seldom shop, it is ok lar. as long as the fun and gals are there, i will still go danok.

Any bros can provide info like price of hotel, chicks..etc on how dannok will be like during CNY. Maybe I might spend my CNY holiday in dannok. Thanks a lot.

My last trip to dannok is during mid of feb, but I cannot find odean shopping centre there :confused: only diana shopping shopping centre which size is only a fraction of what's in hatyai.

Quite a number of "places of interest" like Bar Berry, New Shalala, Model Club...etc. I personally like New Shalala because the gals will strip not like Bar Berry or Model Club only showing bikini.

Hi All Danokians,

Discovered a good place to dine from like 4pm till the town come alive. Try this place called Good View. It is a theme eating place (notice I did not use the term restaurant) with small huts around a lake. Each hut six up to 6 or 8, and food are served via a little motor boat. Have music, sometime Thai sometime Chinese.

I enjoyed my experience for that 4 pm to 9pm dinner, cost me only RM100 for 3 person, with a small bottle of whisky. Then proceed to you know where to do what you know I/we would do...... very rustic and romatic feeling, and set up the night nicely..

Enjoy, not not the night, the pre-night is quite nice with this place.

Actually Oscar is not that run down.... still comparative well maintain vs Oliver. The other better accommodation is Hi Class. I like Oscar, in case of any eventuality, can run and jump over.... ha ha ....

Even thouigh i have been to Sg Golok for uncountable times years ago, to BKK very often now but this was the first time as a newbie ( to Dan nok ).

Dumped my car at the Bukit Kayu Hitam Duty Free Complex car park ( RM 12.00 per night parking charge ). Walked across after getting my passport stamped at the Thai immigration. And i am in Dan nok at 1.30pm. Damn hot weather with unbearable heat.

Walked along a few of the even and odd numbered sois ( with cap and backpack ) on a recon mission. Interesting sights with small and mid sized hotels, assorted stores, barbers, ancient massage places,small k-oks with pictures of Japanese AV models plastered all over their windows and doors, and farms located here and there. A few pimps, all smily faces came and beckoned me in Thai, Hokkien ( See my girls, got a lot, service good, etc ). Brushed them all off. Noticed the bars, clubs ( Model Club, Oscar Entertainment Centre, Regke, New Shalala, H Class, Paragon Disco, Bar Berry and many others )along the sois and of course, all the puyings around that were eyeing me.

The place looked much like a much more modernised Sg. Golok.

Before i get heat stroke, i found Hollywood Palace Hotel with a rate of MYR 65. Wooden furniture, double bed with clean sheets, air con with a wall fan, marble like flooring. A mirror at the head of the bed. A mirror on the ceiling above the bed. And with coloured spot lights ( yellow, blue, green, orange ) near the ceiling mirror and directed downwards to the bed. I turned on the TV and immediately hit an American XXX show. Turned one channel down and hit a Japanese XXX piece.

In the early evening, I got thirsty and need a drink and walked into New Shalala. Had a big Heineken at MYR 14.00. Cheap compared to Bangkok. 2 puyings were on a round stage with a water fountain in the middle. They were in black leather underwear. Almost immediately, a GRO came. I was not interested and told her to go away. A waiter came and persisted and bugged me to take her. Damn irritating !. I needed a beer not a pussy and told him to get lost !. Soured face moron went away. Finished my beer and walked along a soi and got convinced by a pimp to look at his stock. It was one of those small farms disguised as a k-ok. 4 girls and all not my type. Finally selected " Nom ", a 20 yrs old tall, fair skin girl from Chang Mai from another farm. Price was 220 with a discount of 30. I paid 200 in ringgit and 200 in thb. Both MYR ( ringgit ) and THB are interchangable most readily with hardly any concern to the exchange rate.

Nom and me went for a light dinner and we went back to her rented room. Met her sister that was lazing on bed in her nightie watching TV. We later agreed to meet up in a bar.Both of us walked to Bar Berry. Interesting shows. No nudity. Cute coyotes. Ok music. 6 big bottle of beer plus 2 plates of snacks at MYR 84. Hanging flowers at THb 500 around the neck, smaller flower bouquet at THB 200. I managed to get the smaller bouquet at THB 100 and gave it to one of the coyote puying. Nice place to chill out. Around 10.30 pm, we went into Paragon disco. No band nor coyotes nor shows here. Just a disco ( set up like Dance Fever in Rachada but minus the stage ).

At 10.30pm it was not crowded but as the hours ticked away, the crowd grew. Had a few more Heinekens and worked out a sweat bopping up and down continiuosly with Nom. Nom's sister came. WOW !. She looked real good all dressed and with make up. So, now i have two girls , bopping up and down with the music. Bar tender puyings with tequila shots came. I had 2 of these at MYR 10 per shot.

Unexpectedly, the coyote i gave a small flower bouquet to in Bar Berry was just below me ( my table was at a higher level with a railing seperating the lower level ). She screamed, hopped onto a bar stool and gave me a big hug.
She left her man and friends and came over. Now i have 3 girls bopping with me to the music and more........ dirty dancing with hands ( theirs and mine )at strategic places.

I enjoyed Dan nok. To bad, it will not be among one of my regular work stop overs.

Bro, too bad then :). But I think I will not go down during songkran period, everything also more expensive than normal time. Maybe gals will go back to their hometown, and unless you are their regular, I think it is hard to get gals during that period also.

I am a newbie. Come to this forum to seek some wise suggestions on the situation in hadyai and danok. From my reading, it sounds like danok is the place go. But I still have some questions and need some wise advice.

I am malaysian but live out of the country. Come back once a year to visit family and relax. Have been to phuket but this year I am thinking about trying hadyai/danok. I will be probably be going from apr 12-15. I know this overlap songkran. Are all the girls really going back to the village this time or are there some germs to be found? I noticed a couple of brothers here are planning to go on apr 12-13. Perhaps we can hook up if you don't mind a newbie tagging along. I love eating good food and hate to dine alone. I would appreciate some experience bros to show me where the good food are. I plan to setup base in danok and perhaps make day trip to hadyai for massage or farm hopping. If you book a girl in hadyai, can she go back to danok with you for the night?

Is the massage better in hadyai or danok? And I mean legit massage. What are the recommended places in hadyai and danok?

I speak cantonese, malay and english. No mandarin or hokkien. Is this going to be a problem? I like to chit chat with the girl in addition to doing the dirty with them. Can I find girls in the farm that speak my languages?

A friend told me there are some bombing in thailand recently and advice me not to go. is he pulling my leg? is it safe to go?

I will be coming from KL. I was planning to fly into alor setar but only one flight a day from air asia. So, I think I will fly into penang and take a taxi up. Is this advisable? How much would a taxi cost to danok?
