Recently, I went to Guangzhou on biz trip. I was initially planned to do a day trip to CP based on the advices given by senior bros in this thread. Unfortunately, my schedule changed and i need to find a solution to make my little brother happy:).

I found a website and tried my luck with an OKT (can't remember the URL but these websites change from time to time). The hotel i stayed was very strict on unregistered guest and i needed to pick up the gal from lobby.

Rafting is an exciting way to relieve stress, feel the cool (clean) breeze and get that adrenaline pumping. So grab your oars, canoes, and whatever else you need and head out to forget the heat. Here are the four top spots for rafting around Guangzhou.

1) Huang Teng Gorge 黄腾峡峡谷漂流
Huang Teng Gorge is 92 km away from Guangzhou, about a 1.3-hour trip from the city. This rafting area is known as the smaller "Jiuzhaigou", a well known natural area in Sichuan, because the water, air, and scenery are a close match to the original pristine nature reserve. The rafting area is 4.8 kilometers long, and takes two hours or so to complete. The total drop length is 168 meters, with the highest of the drops being 12 meters.

The rafting area is split into three courses: The 4.8-kilometer long "Brave Warrior" (勇猛漂), the 2.8-kilometer "Natural Warrior" (天然猛士) and the 2-kilometer "Scenic Brave Warrior" (观景勇士). This gorge also has a water park, complete with mountain water slides and scenic shuttle rides. This place is a great choice for the novice rafter or for families.

Located in Yinzhan Valley Natural Scenic Area (银盏谷原始生态风景区), this rafting hot spot is 70 kilometers (about one hour) from Guangzhou. The 4.3 km river is in the depths of a mountain and the highest fall is 20 meters high. You can raft the whole area in an hour and a half while enjoying the natural scenery.

Furong Canyon Rafting is known as Guangzhou's number one rafting site (55 km, 1 hour away from Guangzhou).The rafting area is 5 kilometers long, and has a drop of over 100 meters, which takes approximately two hours to complete. The entire rafting area is split into the Adventurous Warrior (探险猛士漂), the Thrilling Warrior (惊险勇士漂), the Happy-Go-Lucky Rafting Area (快乐逍遥漂), and the Romantic Evening Rafting Area (浪漫夜间). The Thrilling Warrior is 5,000 kilometers long, while the Happy-Go-Lucky route runs over 2,000 meters.The latter is perfect for those who want to relax, take in the scenery, and have a cool and pleasant summer experience.

4) Panlong Gorge 盘龙峡漂流
Panlong Gorge is 200 kilometers away from Guangzhou, or a 3.5-hour drive out. The most alluring feature of this rafting area is that it has China's #1 Brave Warrior rafting area. The area is 2.8 kilometers long with a 5-meter drop, and the trip is wavy to the extreme, perfect for those who really want a challenge. This rafting area also has a smoother "Happy" route, which is 2 kilometers in length and has beautiful scenery for all of you nature buffs. This route is best for those who want to relax and take it easy.

So are you in Foshan already? If you are, go to HuangQi in Nanhai district of Foshan. Its on the north east of Foshan bordering GZ.. Many Spa and KTVs there. If you are in Foshan near that area and you wish to try YuLong or Royal Dragon, call 13535755388 and ask her to tell the taxi driver the exact location.. And also prebooking gets you a 50rmb discount on room charge

Confirm plus chop. I was there 3 days ago and the counter boy says it was closed already. Basically the whole guangdong is in typhoon condition. Not only CP.. Guangzhou and huangqi also. Sauna operating in half strength. Anw i was browsing some of the chinese website for sauna in huangqi area and there are some other forums in chinese. Prob can take a look?

Guangzhou alr difficult to find most of the spa.. Especially now also very strong wind. All the fake stuff also dont display at the shopfront at all. But if u have limited time to go to CP u should go huangqi. Still have a better selections in term of sauna..

suana, mostly come with hj, abt RMB300++

massage, mostly decent, foot and body massage, abt 100++
