SHA+ Hotel and 1st night RT-PCR

Guys - For sharing purpose.

Assuming you book a SHA+ hotel. Once you land at Suvarnabhumi Airport, find the transport and they will bring you to the drive-thru testing location. In general you will know the results within 10 hours.

For my case.

1) Testing at ~12pm
2) Testing uploaded to lab ~3pm
3) Report out ~7pm
4) Sent to hotel ~8.30pm
5) Called reception to ask ~9.30pm, reception say no results yet
6) Reception call ~10.30pm to say report is out

Key will be to contact the reception to ask as they are not regularly checking. Granted as they have other things to do.

Certain hotels can help you arrange for expedited (3 hrs or less) testing. You best mention you want that when u get the confirmation email from their staff.

For context on the confirmation email, after All of the test and go bookings I’ve done for myself and my friends so far the reservation manager will contact u for details. (Grand fortune ratchada, and Amari watergate). Otherwise find their contact details online so u can request for the expedited testing. The faster testing will cost around 2000Baht more. And typically need to be booked 3 days in advance.

I had another friend tell the nurse who tested at the hotel at 1pm that he had urgent meetings at 5-6pm and she pushed out the results for him by 5. Maybe his charm worked wonders!

Last note, the fastest turnaround for Test and Go submission is 12-16 hrs. (Best record Submitted at 9pm approved at 9am for flight day after. Very impressed with the efficiency )

Just make sure all ur docs are scanned at high resolution along with vacc QR codes and all should be smooth.

Saw in their latest news today they're pushing for "No Thailand Pass" needed for tourists n also no arrival pcr test required. All that is needed is a negative pcr test no more than 48hrs before your departure into Thailand..
Hope this comes true !

My friend's example:
depends on choice of hotel.
1) arrived at 1230pm for swab.
2) uploaded at 2pm.
3) result out at 530pm
4) tried to contact the staffs to no avail for the whole night.....
5) staff replied 1030am next day and send result
wasted 1 night..

Another example:
1) arrived to swab at 7pm.
2) uploaded at 10pm.
3) result out at 5.30am next morning.
4) contacted staff and they dont have the result
5) only given the result at 12pm on day 2 even though they got it earlier.

A better example:
1) arrived for swab at 530pm.
2) uploaded at 8pm.
3) result out and delivered to your room door at 530am next morning.

The best i experienced. (if you are willing to pay for a 5 star hotel)
1) reported for swab at 9am.
2) uploaded at 930am
3) result out and was contacted immediately at 130pm. Freedom within 4h!

The reason why I prefer to reach BKK in the late afternoon, which I did during last trip. By the time u reach hotel is in the evening.. check a few emails, youtube and rest. Next morning the result will be out and free to go anywhere. :D I do not want to reach BKK in the morning and wait for the whole day in hotel. Some results are fast, while others slow.

I am going to bkk for 7 days in Mar. My Thai pass was approved in 22 Feb. But my hotel called and say as my Thai pass was approved before 1 Mar 22, I will need to undergo day 5 pcr test.

Is it true?

Either PCR or ART in Thailand. Google "safe travel singapore".

most hotel would allow guests now. Just send email or call to ask before you book, to confirm.

with smoking rooms:
Lancaster
Admiral Premier
The continental

Can book an apartment instead, almost all apartments allow smoking.
