Some angpai can criticise her customer and said they are cheapskate and doesn't earn as much as her.
If they know you don't earn much and doesn't drive an expensive car, it is definitely a hi, bye relationship.
Sometimes, you wonder why there is no chemistry between you and the girl. I hope you understand by now...chemistry has to be bought with gifts and money.

Finally, a last ML I know bought a property in anticipation that she would need her own place should her future marriage breaks down, in view of the high divorce rate in China. She does not want to have nowhere to go when she's older and has no market. She borrowed money to come to Singapore and owes money to the bank for the renovation of her home. She's seeking to make RMB 250000 to be debt free.
